Apple Festival 2026

Join the Jersey County Historical Society for the 35th annual Apple Festival on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This annual festival features something for everyone, including historical tours, over 30 crafters and vendors, live music beginning at 9:30 a.m., delicious food, kids' pioneer crafts and chores, and more!

Historical Tours of the Grounds

Historical tours of Cheney Mansion, Lone Star School, Union Forest Church, the Log Cabins, and the Museum will be held throughout the day, with tickets being sold for $5 per person. Children under 5 are admitted free of charge. *Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. **One tour per ticket.

Abraham Lincoln impersonator will be walking the grounds.

Delicious Food

The Jersey County Historical Society will be serving fish, chicken strips, walking tacos, hot dogs, fries, vegetable soup, ham and beans with cornbread, lots of homemade desserts, and kettle korn throughout the day.

Kids' Pioneer Crafts & Chores

From 10 a.m to 3 p.m., for $5 per child, kids can do pioneer chores like churning butter, gathering eggs, shelling and grinding corn, milking a cow, etc., to earn “money” to buy candy in our old-time mercantile and complete two pioneer crafts.
