Alton Hosts Fifth Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt
Families are invited to Rock Spring Park on April 4 for a free day of activities, food, and games celebrating community spirit and fun.
ALTON - Alton Area Community Organizations and community leaders will hold their 5th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt and Family Fun Day from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Rock Spring Park, offering free activities and resources for families.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is being coordinated in part by Kim Brice-Hollis of the CLB Foundation, along with a committee that includes Leon Smallwood-Bey of the 100 Men Movement, James Hickman of Mr. Everything, Alderwoman Rosie Brown, Travis Williams-Bey, and Sandra Hall Smith.

Brice-Hollis said the day will include free food, games for all ages, free haircuts, prizes, family-friendly activities, giveaways, and educational and community resource vendors.
Last year, the event hosted more than 300 families, with attendees taking part in the Easter egg hunt and drawings for gifts, including items for Easter baskets, bikes, and more.
“The community looks forward to this event each year,” Brice-Hollis said. “Our goal is to continue to grow this event each year, and this being our fifth year, we are so excited for this family fun day.”
Organizers said that if weather conditions are inclement, the event will be held at the YWCA.
