Alton Wrestler Ethan Kennedy Claims Adidas Nationals Title

ALTON - Ethan Kennedy, a 10-year-old boy from Alton, recently won the Adidas Nationals Wrestling Championship, earning the title at what was described as one of the country’s hardest and most prestigious tournaments.

Ethan did not allow a single point during the event.

His sibling, Ellie Kennedy, an eighth grader at Alton Middle School, placed seventh at the Adidas Nationals.

Both wrestlers also competed at the IKWF state tournament, where Ethan placed fourth and Ellie placed eighth.

Both Ethan and Ellie wrestle for the Young Warriors Wrestling Academy.
