Nolan Vojak Delivered Some Key Hits For Tigers In 2026
The future looks exceptionally bright for the up-and-coming Edwardsville baseball standout.
EDWARDSVILLE — Nolan Vojak was a key player for Edwardsville's baseball team in 2026.

Vojak, an infielder and outfielder, was one of the Tigers' central players at the plate and in the field this past year.
Vojak said part of his role as a junior is helping younger players adjust to the program, while also relying on leadership from the senior class in an interview after one of the Tigers' games in 2026.
“As a junior, I try to be a leader with all the freshmen and sophomores we have,” Vojak said during the season. “I try and take leadership for them. And the seniors, they also help with that, too.”
Vojak delivered several notable moments during the season, including three RBIs in a 19-1 win over East St. Louis, a walk-off suicide squeeze to drive in the winning run against Jersey, and an RBI double in the Class 4A Normal Community Sectional championship game.
He said his current approach at the plate is centered on being ready for the fastball.
“My approach was just thinking fastball,” Vojak said in an interview. “I have been hitting the fastball really well. That’s what I look for in the count; if I get it, I try to hit it as hard as I can.”
His goals for Edwardsville in 2027 remain what they were in 2026:
“Obviously, the state title is what we’re always looking for,” Vojak said. “So, we’re going to do all we can to get to that.”
