EAWR Senior Kami Batton Earns Oiler Of The Month
Sponsored by Midwest Members Credit Union, the program recognizes standout seniors and places monthly recipients in contention for a $1,000 scholarship.
WOOD RIVER - Midwest Members Credit Union is proud to sponsor the “Oiler of the Month” program at East Alton-Wood River High School. A senior student is selected each month by members of EAWR faculty.
Each student is awarded a certificate and a Subway gift card. The seniors selected each month will have the opportunity to compete for a $1,000.00 “Oiler of the Year” scholarship at the end of the school year.

September's winner is Kami Batton. Kami is a Senior at EAWR and is involved in Student Council, Spirit Club, Volleyball, Theatre, and National Honor Society. Kami has received honors in the National Honor Society, President of Theatre and Captain of the Volleyball team.
In Kami's spare time, Kami volunteers with Spirit Club meetings, concession stand at football games, local pantries, and helps the homeless shelter check out lanes. After graduation, Kami is planning on attending Lewis & Clark Community College for 2 years with dual credit and then transfer to SIUE for 4 years to work on her Masters in Cyber Security.
