ALTON — Marquette Catholic scored 50 unanswered points in the first half to defeat Madison 50-12 on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Public School Stadium, earning its fourth win of the season and effectively securing a postseason playoff berth.

The Explorers scored 28 points in the first quarter and added 22 in the second period to take a 50-0 halftime lead. Mark Osborne scored Marquette’s first touchdown.

Don'tay Longstreet totaled 239 offensive yards and scored three touchdowns overall, including one on a 58-yard interception return.

Quarterback Toby Eberlin passed for 144 yards and two touchdowns and scored on a 7-yard run. Jhordyn Croft rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown, while Ethan McLeod added 27 rushing yards and Caden Roth had 22 yards on the ground.

Marquette finished with 447 total yards, including 303 rushing yards and 144 passing yards.

The Explorers also recorded four interceptions.

De'Mialo Jones had two, while Apprentince Taylor returned an interception for 33 yards. Longstreet’s interception return accounted for the other takeaway. McLeod added a sack.

Marquette closes the regular season with a key game on Friday night at Roxana and then plays at Carlyle.
