EDWARDSVILLE — After two second-place finishes in consecutive weeks, the Edwardsville High School Marching Tigers will perform for the community at 8 p.m. Oct. 22 at EHS Stadium before heading to their final major competition of the season.
The year-end community performance will give residents one more chance to see the band perform at home and support it ahead of the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional Marching Championship. A bake sale fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the performance.

The Marching Tigers placed second at the River City Showcase at Ft. Zumwalt North on Oct. 10 and at the Illinois Marching Band Championships at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on Oct. 17.
“We’ve had a great season, and we’re proud of these awards,” said drum major Lyla Hahn. “It’s exciting to see all of the hard work everyone has put into the season come together in our performances.”

Its 2026 production, “One to Rule,” explores a royalty theme through music including Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Lorde’s “Royals” and Mozart’s “Queen of the Night Aria.”

Although the competitive marching season is nearing its end, EHS band students and the Band Boosters remain active throughout the year through performances, parades and fundraisers. Upcoming events include the annual EHS Craft Fair on Nov. 14 and 15.
