Godfrey’s First Trunk or Treat Draws Over 500 Children
Local businesses and residents joined Godfrey Parks and Recreation for a Halloween gathering featuring decorated trunks, costumes, and a turnout that stood out for a first event.

GODFREY - More than 500 children and 30 trunks representing local businesses and residents took part in the Village of Godfrey Parks and Recreation Department’s first Trunk or Treat on October 11, 2026, bringing families together for an afternoon of Halloween activities.
The department reported the turnout as extensive even though it was the first time for the event.
“Seeing so many families come together for an afternoon of Halloween fun made this event extra special,” the department said.
The event featured decorated trunks and costumes. The department thanked local businesses, residents, and families for participating and helping make the gathering possible.
“What a great way to bring our community together,” the parks and recreation department said.
