Civic Memorial Girls Volleyball Sweeps Jersey to Advance Against Triad

ALTON - Civic Memorial kept its postseason run alive Tuesday night, Oct. 27, 2026, with a 2-0 sweep of Jerseyville in the IHSA Class 3A regional semifinals at Alton High School, earning a spot in Thursday’s matchup against Triad.
The No. 2-seeded Eagles (22-9) will face No. 3-seeded Triad at 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at Alton High. The No. 7-seeded Jersey Panthers finished their season at 5-25.
Quincy Defeats Tigers In Two Sets
In other volleyball action Tuesday, host Quincy defeated Edwardsville 25-13, 25-22 in a regional contest. The Tigers finished their season at 18-18.
Quincy improved to 28-7 and will host Belleville East on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Lancers (31-5) are coming off a 2-0 victory over Collinsville.
McGivney Girls Fall To Althoff Catholic
Althoff Catholic defeated visiting Father McGivney Catholic 25-14, 25-17 in another nonleague match Tuesday.
The Crusaders improved to 14-22 and will host Breese Central on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Cougars (24-9) defeated Greenville 2-0 in their previous match.
Father McGivney Catholic fell to 19-16.
