Triad Defeats Civic Memorial to Capture Regional Volleyball Championship
The Knights prevailed in three sets at Alton High School, earning an IHSA Class 3A regional crown and setting up their next postseason challenge.

ALTON — Triad claimed an IHSA Class 3A girls volleyball regional championship Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, defeating Civic Memorial 25-18, 26-28, 25-17 at Alton High School to advance to the sectional tournament.
The Knights improved to 25-11, while the Eagles finished 23-11.

Triad won the opening set 25-18 before Civic Memorial evened the match with a 28-26 victory in the second. The Knights took the deciding set 25-17 to secure the regional title.
Triad will face Bartonville Limestone in a sectional semifinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Springfield High School. The sectional championship is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the same venue.
