The parade began at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Middle School parking lot at Schwarz and West streets. The route headed east on St. Louis Street to Vandalia Street, then north on North Main Street before ending at High Street.

The annual Halloween tradition features marching bands, school groups, community organizations, entertainers and approximately 100 floats. Businesses and community organizations invest significant time and money in their entries.

The Edwardsville Police Department had many officers along the parade route and also planned to deploy a drone to monitor crowd safety. Fan favorite voting was scheduled to open Sunday, Nov. 1, on the Ed/Glen Chamber’s Facebook page.
