Bethany Sanderson and Tabitha Schulte have worked as massage therapists and estheticians for several years, and they are excited to announce that they have officially purchased the business. They offer medical massage, facials and waxing. Both women are proud of the work they’ve put in to help people.

“We very much want to make people feel better and live better,” Sanderson said. “So many people are sicker than ever. Their bodies hurt. We work too hard and don’t rest enough. To be at our best, to be the best we can be for our families, our jobs, we really need to function better. It is a unique privilege to be able to help people get there.”

Sanderson and Schulte have worked at the business for years under a different owner. They were excited to finalize the purchase last month, and they renamed the business BT Wellness Medical Massage & Spa in honor of their collaboration.

Schulte noted that she loves the work they do every day. As Sanderson said, it means a lot to her to help people feel better.

“Massage is my jam. I can’t see myself doing anything else,” Schulte said. “People call all the time, just not feeling well and needing relief, and it’s amazing to be able to provide that for them.”

The duo celebrated their new ownership with an open house last week. They welcomed people from across the region for spa specials, snacks and trick-or-treating, as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Schulte and Sanderson agreed that they are grateful to the people in this area. Both women are Riverbend natives, and they’re proud to give back to the community where they live.

“It’s just a great community to be a part of,” Schulte said. “I’ve lived in this area my whole life, and I could never see myself moving anywhere else. The people here are just great and very appreciative and loyal customers.”

Sanderson added that “change generally is a good thing,” and they are eager to see what happens next for the business. The duo hopes to bring in more estheticians and therapists in the future. Their goal is to help people feel better in the long term.

“This definitely is not where our story ends,” Sanderson said. “We do have plans. Nothing is set in stone, but we do see, hopefully, in the future, bringing more therapists in, hopefully teaching massage at one point, and really just integrating wellness into the community.”
