Aiden Stemm Scores 23 Points in Roxana’s Final Game
Stemm, Maberry, turn in sensational performance, but the effort wasn’t enough to overcome Quincy Notre Dame’s late-game push in the Class 2A sectional matchup.
PLEASANT PLAINS — Quincy Notre Dame used a second-half push to pull away from Roxana and secure a 59-47 victory Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in an IHSA Class 2A sectional boys basketball game at Pleasant Plains.
The win was the 29th of the season for Quincy Notre Dame, which has one loss. Roxana’s season ended at 24-10. The Shells carried a 30-27 lead into halftime.

Aiden Stemm led all scorers with 23 points for Roxana. Sean Maberry added 15 points, including all seven of Roxana’s points in the second quarter.
For Quincy Notre Dame, Gavin Doellman led the scoring with 18 points. Robbie Reed and Jace Allensworth scored 10 points apiece.
Quincy Notre Dame will play the Staunton-Rochester winner at 7 p.m. Friday for the Pleasant Plains Sectional title. Staunton and Rochester are scheduled to play at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
