Midwest Members Credit Union Female Athletes Of Month: Coach Rob Milazzo Praises Roxana Golfers’ Dedication and Perseverance

Milazzo highlights Stevens and Bertoletti’s commitment and mental toughness as key factors in their athletic growth and team leadership.

ROXANA - Will Stevens of Roxana had several strong accomplishments for the boys' golf team in the 2025 season. He won the Cahokia Conference Tournament after a four-hole playoff at Governor’s Run in Carlyle, firing a one-over 73. The tournament concluded with Stevens securing the individual title. Myles Bertoletti also earned all-conference honors, carding a career-best 77 to finish seventh.

Stevens and Bertoletti are Midwest Members Credit Union Male Athletes of the Month.

Stevens, a junior, had previously captured the individual title at the Hickory Stick Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, shooting a 71 at Belk Park in Wood River. At the IHSA Carlyle Regional, Stevens shot a 78, while Bertoletti, a freshman, recorded an 83.

Both golfers posted identical scores of 81 at the sectional competition held at Teutopolis.

Roxana golf coach Rob Milazzo praised the dedication and perseverance of Stevens and Bertoletti.

“Both players are extremely dedicated and persevere through any obstacles when out on the course and are a pleasure to coach,” Milazzo said, expressing confidence in their promising futures in golf.

Milazzo has turned out several strong golfers and wrestlers in his time at Roxana High School as a coach and has made a big difference in these two athletes out on the course.
