Mila on Faith, Raising 13 Children and Supporting Son Kirby Through a Brain Tumor

Mila joins You're Beautiful with Brian Trust to discuss how faith and prayer have sustained her family through loss, homelessness and other periods of uncertainty. She reflects on raising 13 children, her longtime friendship with Brian and learning to trust God even when an answer to prayer is difficult to accept.

The conversation centers on her 25-year-old son, Kirby, whose persistent headaches and eye pain led doctors to discover a mass on the right side of his brain. Mila recounts his hospital stays, biopsy, surgery and transfer to specialists at Siteman Cancer Center, as well as the family’s reliance on prayer throughout his treatment.
