Mike Roper on Sobriety, Faith and Building Businesses Through Adversity

Mike Roper joins You're Beautiful with Brian Trust to discuss how faith, perseverance and strong relationships have helped him move through adversity. He reflects on nearly 13 years of sobriety, why he shares his story openly and the importance of treating people with respect regardless of their circumstances.

Roper also talks about expanding his lawn care operation into foreclosure cleanouts and snow removal, as well as developing Breeze Brew in downtown Wood River alongside a T-shirt business and local vendor marketplace. He explains how surrounding himself with capable, supportive people has helped these ventures grow.

The longtime friends revisit memories of church, baseball and working as DJs while exploring the meaning they find in Jeremiah 29:11 and Ephesians 1:7. Their conversation centers on hope, grace, redemption, listening well and offering encouragement to people who may be struggling.
