Wayne and Misty on Street Ministry, Addiction Recovery and Faith in Action

Wayne and Misty discuss serving people experiencing homelessness in St. Louis, supporting addiction recovery and putting faith into practice on You're Beautiful with Brian Trust. They describe their work with Serving Our Streets, including Thursday outreach near Tent City with meals, clothing, prayer and personal support.

Misty shares her experience with abuse, addiction and recovery, as well as her work sponsoring women and helping lead AA meetings. Wayne reflects on years of street ministry and explains why he sees ministry as service beyond the walls of a church building.

The conversation also examines salvation, spiritual growth and community through passages including John 3:16, Romans 10:9 and John 14:6. The guests distinguish faith from works while discussing how recovery groups, churches and outreach ministries can create welcoming places for people seeking help.
