Christy Schult on Faith, Compassion and the Community Hope Center

Christy Schult joins You're Beautiful with Brian Trust to discuss how faith, church family and simple acts of kindness can help people feel seen and supported. She reflects on relationships formed through ministry, the importance of listening and the personal meaning she finds in the song “I Speak Jesus.”

Schult also describes her work as development director at the Community Hope Center, which provides food, clothing, prayer and connections to support services. She explains how the center serves people arriving from Madison, St. Clair and Monroe counties as well as Missouri, and addresses the growing needs facing working families, veterans, older adults and people affected by homelessness or sudden hardship.

The conversation also covers volunteer opportunities, the center’s facility and funding challenges, and why compassionate conversation can be as meaningful as material assistance.
