Rockin’ for Recovery and Christian Hip Hop Ministry with Tyrone, Cole and AK

Tyrone, Cole and AK join You’re Beautiful with Brian Trust for a conversation about recovery, faith and using music to connect with people across the Riverbend and St. Louis region. Tyrone discusses Amare Recovery Community Organization’s sixth annual Rockin’ for Recovery, a free community event at Bethalto Park featuring live music, family activities, food trucks, vendors and recovery resources.

Cole and AK explain how Christian hip hop became part of their ministry, from an Oakwood block party to outreach in Alton and St. Louis. They reflect on meeting young people where they are, living out Scripture, trusting God’s direction and valuing faithfulness, obedience and peace over recognition.
