Faith, Recovery and Hope Beyond Violence with Bryant and Minister Fred Harrell

Bryant returns to You're Beautiful with Brian Trust alongside Minister Fred Harrell of New Shining Light Baptist Church for a conversation about faith, redemption and using personal testimony to encourage others.

Harrell reflects on 25 years of crack addiction, more than 20 years of freedom from drugs and the relationship with Jesus that changed his life. The discussion also explores gratitude, accountability, the power of words, everyday acts of kindness and the value of mentoring young people before they are drawn toward violence.

Bryant shares how the deaths of his son and grandson inspired Hope Beyond Violence. He discusses its developing mission to support grieving families, mentor youth, prevent gun violence and work with other community organizations through activities and outreach.
